Our mission
To raise awareness of preservation of the Filipino culture by serving as Filipino-American Advocates and spreading the Filipino culture at Old Dominion University and the community.
Our story
The Filipino American Student Association of Old Dominion University was founded on April 5, 1991. It was established to contribute to the awareness of preservation of Filipino culture and heritage throughout Old Dominion University and the community.
Due to the large concentration of Filipinos living in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia, Old Dominion University's Filipino American Student Association serves as one of the venues which aid in the understanding and awareness of social issues that many Filipinos face in today's American society as well as abroad. The Filipino American Student Association is an organization that is open to everyone and anyone who is willing to learn and participate.
